The Pleney Cable-car

pleney-morzine-annees-60-5495-1324
It was the Morzine locals that initiated this project, borrowing the funds necessary to the cable-car’s construction. This illustrates well the village’s avant-garde disposition. Built in 1934, this was only the second lift built in France, just after Chamonix’s. Constantly modernised, it now services slopes equipped with snow canons.
