Next weekend, the world’s mountain biking elite will be competing right on our doorstep! Les Gets, our neighbouring resort in the Portes du Soleil, will host another round of the UCI Mountain Bike World Series, from Thursday 20 to Sunday 23 August 2026. This free event is open to everyone and takes place just 10 minutes from Morzine.
An unmissable event on the international mountain biking calendar
Over four action-packed days, the world’s best riders will battle it out on the iconic trails of Les Gets, a resort that has established itself as one of the world’s leading mountain biking destinations over the past 30 years.
- Cross-country Short Track (XCC)
- Downhill (DHI)
- Cross-country Olympic (XCO)
The main competitions take place from Friday to Sunday, following Thursday’s training sessions. Free shuttle between Les Gets and Morzine
Good news for spectators staying in Morzine: the Les Gets municipality is providing a free shuttle service between Les Gets and Morzine throughout the competition weekend, making it easier to get around and helping reduce car traffic. Shuttle stops:
- Les Gets: Impasse de Bovard (at the entrance to Les Gets village, Morzine side)
- Morzine: “Le Pleney” – 174B Route du Téléphérique, 74110 Morzine

Tip: We recommend taking advantage of the shuttle rather than travelling by car, particularly during the morning and evening periods that coincide with the competition highlights. Roads into Les Gets are likely to be very busy on these days.
