La Battante Morzinoise

Created in 2010, the association "La Battante Morzinoise" has reconstructed and fitted out, for visitors, the Albert Richard sawmill from 1914, with its water wheel, on the Dérêches site, in Morzine.
It took more than ten years of construction, engineering, restoration and reassembly, in collaboration between the municipality of Morzine and the volunteers of "La Battante", to bring this installation threatened with disappearance back to life. A work punctuated by association events, country meals on site, visits to the construction site in progress during Heritage Days...
But also a work of patience and technical cogitations (mechanical, cast iron, wood, resistance of materials, fluids…), restoration of old pieces…
