The resort of Morzine is at the very heart of the Portes du Soleil ski area and boasts 600 km of slopes (diverse, varied slopes through the undergrowth, wide ones, easy, fun ones, Alpine and steep ones, slopes with bumps, snowparks, etc.), making it a vast playground with so much to see and do.

With stunning views of Mont-Blanc, larch forests and snow-covered pastures, Morzine ski area can be explored entirely on skis from Le Pleney, with covered ski carpet lifts for beginners and quick access to the legendary giant stadium for competitors.

Ski Lifts: Opening Dates

  • Avoriaz Ski Area: From Friday, December 12, 2025 to Sunday, April 19, 2026. Partial pre-openings on the weekends of November 29-30 and December 6-7, conditions permitting. The Avoriaz ski area is directly accessible from Morzine via the Super Morzine gondola or the Prodains cable car. New: The Super-Morzine ski area will be open until Sunday, April 12, 2026.
  • Morzine Pleney ski area: Partial pre-opening from Saturday, December 13 to Friday, December 19, 2025, conditions permitting. More information here
  • Morzine – Les Gets ski area: from Saturday, December 20, 2025 to Monday, April 6, 2026.
  • Portes du Soleil ski area: The ski lifts in the Franco-Swiss ski area will be open continuously from Saturday, December 20, 2025 to Monday, April 6, 2026.
