Skiing with eagles !

Presentation

Les Aigles du Léman is a restaurant in the heart of the ski resort of Morzine and the Portes du Soleil. Located in the Nyon ski area at 1500m altitude, the restaurant has been specially arrranged so that you can grab a bite to eat surrounded by birds.

A world first

Jacques-Olivier Travers is behind this unique concept. He was only a teenager when he became interested in falconry. Many years of experience later he founded a wildlife park completely dedicated to birds of prey, which welcomes hoards of visitors all summer long.
But when winter comes the birds of prey migrate to the ski area of Morzine. An opportunity for skiers to get up close and personal with these majestic birds !
Through this initiative, the Morzine Pléney company and the Morzine Tourist Office are making a commitment alongside the Les Aigles du Léman to promote biodiversity.

Fancy a meal surrounded by raptors?!

A totally innovative show called "Jeannot chasse le dahu" (Jeannot hunts the mythical dahu) and an educational show "À la découverte des rapaces de nos montagnes" (Discovering the birds of prey of our mountains) provides the opportunity to taste regional dishes while watching birds of prey fly overhead.

Do you dare to challenge the falcon?

You can race a falcon! Compete with the bird of prey to win a falconry session or a meal. An unusual activity, allowing you to witness the speed of the falcon's flight.

Falcons, vultures, owls, buzzards...

For those who want to take it further, mini-courses are available to visitors. Try a magical 45 minute snowshoe walk with a bird on your arm.
Les Aigles du Léman also offers three play areas for children aged 2-12 years – the enchanted forest and the biggest indoor ball pit in the whole of France !

Access is open to everyone either via the ski slopes or the Nyon cablecar. (free parking and shuttle bus)
