Have you chosen Morzine as your next family holiday destination? You’ve made the right choice! Located in the heart of the Portes du Soleil area, Morzine is the perfect place for the whole family to enjoy their break to the full! Follow the guide and organise a holiday that will delight young and old alike!
Première Glisse’ areas
Morzine is a ‘Famille Plus’ resort, officially recognised for its family-friendly services and facilities. A number of areas have been created specially for children, such as the Piste des Pingouins, a fun slope featuring a tunnel, a slalom section and a few raised bends… So even the little ones will become experts in no time!
The Chemin des Zouzous, an educational trail featuring replicas of wild animals, invites children to see the resort from a different angle. In the woods, away from the busy slopes, come and meet the wolf, the fox, the stag, the doe and other forest wildlife present along the path.
Snowshoeing in the Manche Valley
For a walk in an unspoilt wilderness dotted with snow-covered fir trees, or to enjoy your favourite Nordic activities, the Erigné site is the place to be.
Set in the beautiful Manche Valley, this site of many facets will delight children and adults alike. While you’re there, try the sledging slope and visit the igloo! Next, for your snowshoe walk, you can follow the indicated route to the Mines d’Or Lake, which climbs a little, up to a stunning viewpoint overlooking the valley (about a 1-1½-hour walk).
This snowshoeing and cross-country skiing area is the ideal place to recharge your batteries and be at one with nature. There’s also a children’s playground and a picnic area. You’ll enjoy a whole day of quality time with the family, exploring in an outstanding setting, on an adventure just a short distance from the resort.
The site can be reached by car or with the free bus shuttles that operate from Morzine village centre.
Les Aigles du Léman
For a world-unique experience in the company of birds of prey, head for the Pointe de Nyon leisure complex. Set amid the slopes, the restaurant Les Aigles du Léman invites you to spend a moment with these majestic birds. The menu features delicious local dishes and the extraordinary experience of admiring close up the royal eagles, bearded vultures and falcons, the iconic birds of our mountains. You can also race against a falcon by taking part in the ‘Faucon Gagne’ activity. If you win, your meal is on the house! All these unusual activities will keep the whole family entertained.
For more information, please visit the website of Les Aigles du Léman.
Treasure hunt on the ski slopes
How do you fancy a treasure hunt on skis? An activity that combines clever thinking, skiing and speed, enough to keep any budding detective entertained! A number of markers have been hidden on the slopes and your mission is to find them, answer the questions and win as many points as possible. After the game, participants receive their prizes at the Tourist Office.
Every Wednesday from 9am to 4pm, open to all (snow cover permitting, and participants must be capable of skiing blue slopes).
Relaxation at the Pool Complex
Want to unwind after a day on the ski slopes? Morzine pool complex is an indoor facility featuring a main pool for serious swimmers, a learning pool and a children’s pool. The ideal place to swim a few lengths, learn a new stroke, or just have fun in the water. For adults who enjoy the heat, there are also saunas and hammams. Swim, splash about and unwind!
