What's new in Morzine this winter?

Presentation

Morzine is an exceptional place to ski thanks to its unique location in the very heart of the 600km of slopes that constitute the Portes du Soleil ski area. In Morzine you can enjoy the slopes of Pléney setting straight off from a beginner slope with conveyor belt and views of Mont Blanc, not forgetting the giant legendary home run plunging down towards the village. The Chamossière sector, the highest point of the resort, delights our more expert skiers with its technical slopes. Overlooked by Nyon, the emblematic peak of Morzine, eagles and skiers have fun on the slopes and trick enthusiasts admire the quality of the Snowpark before heading to the resort of Les Gets. On the opposite side of the valley, the Super Morzine sector gives access from the centre of the resort to Avoriaz, Châtel and the Swiss resorts. Time for a ski trip well above the ordinary! This winter, the Nyon area will be showcased with a lot of new things happening.

Le Pas de l’Aigle: a bird’s eye view with the Alps at your feet!

At the summit of Nyon at 2019 metres altitude, the 10m long glass walkway offers a uniquely vertiginous experience. The visitor is treated to a 350m drop beneath their feet and a breathtaking 360° view from Lake Geneva to Mont Blanc. Access is free and only possible on skis from the top of the Nyon chairlift.

The Eagles of Léman will be back to nest with new birds and original entertainment!

The partnership between Aigles du Léman and the ski area of Morzine is strengthened this winter with new falconry walks along nature trails accompanied by eagles. With access from the top of the cable car, there will be informative signposts about the mountain life of raptors. Also, as last year, the interior of the restaurant and the enormous terrace will be the setting for flight demonstrations. Ski outings on the slopes are organised for a unique experience with new species of rare birds. Finally, the picnic room is newly decorated, and the new décor is certain to astonish.

Aigle rouge, A stunning new red piste!

The remodelling of the red Aigle run going from the summit of Nyon at 2019 metres down to the Nyon plateau at 1413m which began last year will be completed for winter 2020-2021. The run will be 3 times wider with 2km of skiing pleasure!

The Eagle Park, the place to be!

Pretend you’re an eagle just for a moment... In this ski area the more adventurous will be able to test the new XL version boarder cross starting from the top the Raverettes chair. The reshaped and enlarged snow park will offer some new features. In order to use less artificial snow, the features will be created and shaped from an earth base. Air and excitement guaranteed!

New access in comfort to Nyon lift

A new covered escalator will take skiers and pedestrians from the car park to the departure point of the Nyon cable car. That's some comfort you can't say no to.
