Joana Lavanchy also grew up in Morzine and will blow out her 17 candles in a few weeks. She has been skiing since she was 3 years old and has spent all her years with the ESF in Morzine. At the age of 7, she joined the Morzine-Avoriaz ski club, where she spent 9 years learning and having a great time. In June 2022, she joined the women's Mont Blanc committee.
"The pleasure, the competition, the feeling and the commitment are my sources of motivation to fully achieve this sport."

What are her future goals? In the short term, to make podiums in her U18 category, and in the longer term, to join the French Ski Federation to take her to the European, World Cup and Olympic circuits.
