To spend a fabulous <strong>summer holiday in the mountains</strong>, it’s important that you plan ahead. If you’ve chosen to come to Morzine, the first thing you’ll need to decide is by which means of travel you will arrive.
Plan ahead of departure for your summer holiday in the mountains
If, for example, you decide to come by plane, the closest airport to Morzine is Geneva, approximately 1½ hours away. Once you arrive in Geneva, you can use a transport company for the onward journey to your accommodation in Morzine. If you decide to come by train, you have a number of options. You can stop at the Bellegarde-sur-Valserine TGV station (75 minutes away), or at Cluses or Thonon-Les-Bains station, which are closer. Both are just a 40-minute drive from Morzine. If you intend to drive to Morzine, you can take the A40 motorway and exit at Cluses. From there it’s just a 30-minute drive to your final destination. Once you reach Morzine, you’ll find car parks at your disposal across the resort.

It costs €2 per person per day, so it’d be a shame not to take advantage of it. Not only that, but it’s free for children under the age of 5.
