The Champions’ Race was held on 3 April. Some 600 children from schools and ski clubs took part in this major ski race, one of very few in which children can take part even if they do not belong to a ski club (145 children).
You’ll find all the race results here!

So what is the Champion’s race ?

Held on the Nyon plateau at the end of the skiing season, this major race attracts to the slopes of Morzine more than 600 children between the ages of 8 and 16 years.
The race itself takes place in the morning and is followed in the afternoon by a grand parade through the streets of the resort, with children donning their school or ski-club colours, and a prize ceremony on the Morzine Tourist Office square.

Ski-club members, school children and holidaymakers can all take part in the Champions’ Race!
SALOMON & UVEX, the partners behind the creation of this race some 40 years ago, promise prizes galore, not only for the successful competitors on the winners’ podium, but also for entrants in the prize draw (SALOMON skis, UVEX goggles and helmets, etc.). All the children will be in with a chance of winning something!

why participate ?

Quite simply to see what it’s like to be a champion! If you’re not a member of a skiing club, you won’t always get the chance to participate in major races, but with the Course des Champions, you can! To reach the podium, there are ‘skiing clubs’ and ‘non-skiing clubs’ categories so everyone is in with a chance of getting on the podium!

On the programme: Giant slalom on the Nyon Plateau, autograph sessions with Portes du Soleil champions, top tips from the pros, opening of the race tracks and trophy presentations on the podium.

The children will also be treated like true little champions with:

  • Free lift pass for the race
  • Free admission to the swimming pool
  • Ski maintenance at partner shops in the resort, with discounted prices just like the great champions!

There will be other activities and entertainment throughout the morning of the race, including a ski test where several brands will give children the chance to try the junior skiing equipment from the 2023 collection.

Bonus :

From 4pm, the children will be parading through the streets alongside our runner-up Paralympic champion, Anthony Chalençon, who will receive a prize for his performance in the Beijing Olympics, before presenting the trophies to the children.

These are moments that the budding young skiers will remember forever!
