Morzine Bike Park is right at the centre of the Portes du Soleil, Europe’s biggest MTB area, and in 2020 it was voted Best Bike Park in Europe and 8th  in the world by the readers of Vital MTB, one of the most popular American specialised websites.
Morzine Bike Park is a unique MTB area that strives to respect both nature and mountain bikers. The trails here are prepared by the bike patrol teams themselves, without the use of machines.
The only time machines are used is when this is deemed necessary for safety reasons.

Morzine Bike Park, a bike park for everyone

In summer 2020, a beginner’s area was created with various features such as raised bends, bumps and little jumps. If you’re looking to get started on a MTB, this area is a great place to practice and improve your technique while enjoying the natural environment all around you. At the arrival station of Le Pleney gondola lift, this beginner’s area covers 3,800 m² with a 430 m track. It is open to the public free-of-charge.
Nearby, you can also try the new MTB blue trail, called the ‘Family’ trail. This trail is almost 4.5 km long and the easy, gentle slope covers a difference in altitude of 500 m altogether. There are raised bends to break up the track and make sure it’s not too straight. It’s ideal if you’re just starting out!

The Super 8 red trail by Romain Paulhan

Formerly quite simply called the ‘red trail’, the ‘Super 8’ as it is now known, has been given a new lease of life thanks to a partnership between the Morzine Bike Park teams and Santa Cruz ambassador Romain Paulhan, former French downhill MTB champion.
The initial name reflected the first downhill MTB model from Santa Cruz, the dominant colour of which as you may have guessed, was red!<br>This trail includes various features and more technical sections towards the bottom of the area, just like the other Le Pleney trails.

Atray blue trail

This track is more technical than the ‘Family’ one but it is still suitable for beginners. It leads down into the forest and there’s a view of the village of Morzine.

And then for more experienced mountain bikers

Morzine Bike Park’s black trail has been developed and maintained over the years, while always remaining a technical trail with its legendary flow.
Mountain bikers can really let go on this trail and have great fun riding over the area’s natural rolling terrain.

Get your MTB washed as an added bonus

As an added bonus, there are now 2 bike washing stations at the bottom of the Le Pleney gondola lift. They are free to use for holders of a valid MTB pass. You can therefore ride all day long and then wash your bike and go back to your accommodation with clean equipment!
Other users are free to use the washing station, but with a fee.
