Today a thing of the past, a Bézière was a wooden canal supported by beams built to supply water to the mills.
On this photo you can see the back of the Mairie, river and two Bézières. The canals required a lot of maintenance and large quantities of wood to overcome the terrain and to resist and contain the power of the water in corners.
