1 – Booking your accomododation
Once you’ve picked your destination, go to the Morzine Réservation website which lists the hotels, chalets and apartments available in Morzine. You can use the search criteria to find your ideal accommodation, read the descriptions of what’s available, make your booking in just a few clicks, and check out our special offers. Alternatively, you can call a holiday advisor to get bespoke advice.
Also, don’t forget to book your ski lessons, as well as lift passes to avoid having to queue.
2- Have your equipment serviced
If you use your own skis or snowboard, remember to have them checked by a specialist before you leave. You can then take to the slopes with peace of mind and get your skiing off to a good start. But if you don’t find time, no worries! Our experts will take care of it, or suggest you rent your equipment. Thanks to Morzine’s wide range of ski rental outlets, you can enjoy the slopes without the hassle of bringing your own equipment with you.
3 – What’s the best way to travel to your wintersports destination?
Car, train, coach or plane, the choice is yours.
To help you decide how to travel, we recommend you visit TicTacTrip. This comparison website is one of a kind. It is capable of combining bus, train and carshare solutions across Europe with a focus on multimodal travel that’s mindful of the environment..
4- To pack the perfect ski bag, draw up a checklist to make sure you don’t forget anything.
From head to foot: Helmet, woolly hat, sunglasses/goggles, scarf, warm underwear, pullover, fleece, ski jacket, gloves, ski trousers, plus a spare pair for children who play in the snow, and ski socks. Last but not least, don’t forget your swimwear as there’s probably a pool nearby.
Add basic first-aid items to your toilet bag, just in case, and, of course, suncream!
5 – Physical training ahead of your holiday ?
This could help avoid the inconvenience of injuring yourself on the ski slopes. We recommend you do simple, effective exercises to improve your stamina and muscle strength. You should begin at least a month before your holiday.
