Alexis was first introduced to ski mountaineering by a childhood friend. “I had done a bit of ski touring before that, but I found the equipment too heavy. Then, he took me to see the Pierra Menta. It was love at first sight.” So in 2007, Alexis tried ski mountaineering. As an avid downhill skier, Alexis has always loved mountain landscapes.

Today, he is one of the best skiers in France and he continues to throw himself passionately and wholeheartedly into the sport. Alexis Sevenec has been a member of the French military team since 2013 and he brought home the gold medal for his individual performance at the Military World Games in Annecy in 2013 and in February in Sotchi, Russia, beating the Russians.<br>He has taken part in all sorts of competitions: sprint, vertical race, individual and team, and he has also won trophies at some of the top team events such as the Patrouille des Glaciers, the Tour du Ruitor, the Mezzalama, the Adamello, and the Pierra Menta.

In summer, his favourite sport is trail running, and he has earned his place on the podium in a great number of world-renowned, incredibly challenging races.
