During the Spartan Winter Trail, participants tackle courses specially designed for winter trail running. The snow, the elevation changes and the alpine scenery make every kilometre as challenging as it is spectacular.

As the race progresses, you’ll pass through some of Morzine’s most iconic areas and enjoy breathtaking views of thePortes du Soleil mountains, one of Europe’s largest ski areas.

The Spartan Winter Trail Morzine takes place on 13 December 2026 and is held every winter in the heart of the Morzine resort.

The race takes place in Morzine, in Haute-Savoie, within the Portes du Soleil ski area in the French Alps. The routes follow snow-covered trails offering exceptional views of the surrounding mountains.

Registration is available online only. You can find details of the various races, entry fees and practical information directly on the official registration platform.

The event is open to runners of all abilities. Whether you’re an experienced trail runner or keen to try trail running on snow for the first time, there are a range of race formats to suit everyone’s level.

We recommend wearing clothing suitable for winter conditions, trail running shoes that provide good grip on snow, and accessories to keep you warm. Please check the event regulations for details of the compulsory equipment.

Race numbers can be collected before the start of the race at the Morzine Tourist Office. The times and exact location will be provided in the event’s practical information.
