Morzine, the enchanted village
For the Christmas holidays, Morzine offers you a magical two-week spectacle!
Many people dream of spending the Christmas holidays in the mountains. So why not make that dream come true? Especially as, each year, the village of Morzine adds to the magic of Christmas by lighting up for its ‘Morzine Enchanted Village’ event.
A great excuse to organise a whole fortnight of events including illuminations that light up the night sky, colourful shows, activities that unleash your imagination, highly entertaining walkabouts, and creative workshops, concerts and shows.
The festivities will take place on Saturday 18 December, with the traditional Green Chaud courtesy drinks and candy floss, and a performance by the Satin Doll Sisters on the streets of Morzine.
Father Christmas will of course be present to meet the children, from Wednesday 22 December.
On 24 December, a show to welcome him will start at 6pm on the Tourist Office square, followed by a fireworks display.
On 31 December, the legendary ESF ski instructors’ torchlight descent begins at around 6pm, with free mulled wine and hot chocolate, followed by fireworks.
Perfect entertainment for young and old.

- The skating rink
Get ready for a fabulous season on the ice rink! Open throughout the winter season, the outdoor skating rink in Morzine invites children and adults to come and enjoy the friendly atmosphere. - Snowshoeing
An excellent way to explore the mountains and get some exercise. You can rent out snowshoes from one of the sports shops and take to the trails to enjoy the beautiful panoramic views. Enquire at the Tourist Office about the different routes. - Sledging
Morzine has slopes set aside for sledging that the whole family will enjoy! Fits of laughter guaranteed. - Mines d’Or Expériences
At the Erigné site, a space devoted entirely to Nordic activities has been created. Unspoilt with no lifts, and yet easy to reach, the site is ideal for walks that really recharge your batteries. The entire site has been improved, to include a cross-country skiing trail, a snow playground, a picnic area, a sledging area and even an igloo!
This is the place to be, an absolute must during your stay in Morzine!
