The summer was a great success and there was so much going on, and now the usual winter events that have always guaranteed the success of your holiday at our resort are back, as well as plenty of other events and entertainment throughout the winter season! Morzine may be first-and-foremost a ski resort, but visitors also appreciate the charm of the village, the lively atmosphere and the never-ending stream of events and entertainment.
The major events that the resort is renowned for are now back: Rock the Pistes, Ladies Night Tour, the Course des Champions, … are just some of the great upcoming events!

Morzine is a lively and well-structured resort, with ski lifts in the centre of the village, a wide range of shops, accommodation and restaurants, as well as plenty of activities and facilities. The many events and entertainment are sure to make your holiday here a memorable one, and you’ll want to come back again and again!
Bruno Robinet, project manager for Morzine-Avoriaz Tourist Office explained that “Our programme of events is centred around the annual highlights that are obviously held during the school holidays. The Christmas holidays are always magical, with lights everywhere, street entertainment and a fantastic, festive atmosphere. There’s plenty going on during the winter school holidays in February. Finally, the end of the season (March/April) is an opportunity to go skiing in the spring, and this is a particularly action-packed time of year with the Festival Rock the Pistes, and the Course des Champions.
What’s new in Morzine this winter in terms of events and entertainment?
This winter season, there is a new and eagerly awaited event, the ‘SPARTAN’ weekend with the Spartan Winter Trail and the Spartan Kids event
In December, Morzine is organising a winter version of the famous Spartan Kids obstacle course, which will eventually be turned into the ‘National Spartan Kids Final’. The same weekend, we will also be organising a winter race for adults, without obstacles this time, the Spartan Winter Trail along the same tracks that made the summer Spartan Race in Morzine such a roaring success. Come to Morzine on the 11 and 12 December 2021!
