Have you always dreamt of flying up over the mountains? This is an unmissable summer activity, whether you choose a paragliding experience or helicopter ride, and it’s an amazing and rather unique way of exploring Morzine and the Portes du Soleil!
Paragliding up over Morzine
Looking to cool off? We’ve got what you need and it’s got nothing to do with swimming! On your summer holiday in the mountains, why not treat yourselves to a paragliding experience? This is an exceptional experience and from the sky you’ll have a stunning view of the village and mountains that will quite literally take your breath away!
The paragliding schools in Morzine will usually ask you to come and meet them close to the centre of the village, near the paragliding landing site. From there, they’ll take you to the departure point in Super-Morzine. After a safety briefing, you’ll be equipped with your harness and shown how to use the equipment before then setting off on your flight! Don’t worry, you won’t be flying alone! You’ll be guided throughout your flight by an experienced instructor who will take you on an exploration of the area from the sky. An introductory paragliding experience or any other sort of flight in tandem is an incredible opportunity to admire the Alpine scenery and lush-green surroundings of Morzine from a completely different angle than you are used to seeing. Once you’re in the air, it’s as if time stands still! Enjoy every second and keep your eyes peeled at all times!
You’ll come down for a gentle landing, in an area that has been cordoned off for this purpose, close to the lifts and where you initially met your guide for the day. That means that your family or friends can watch your flight as they enjoy a cocktail at one of the bars near the landing site.
If you’re feeling particularly daring, there are also paragliding courses available. After a few days of lessons, picking up some of the technical skills, safety rules and getting some top tips to get to grips with the equipment, you’ll be ready to glide up through the clouds alone. A fantastic flying experience in complete safety.
A helicopter ride from Morzine
If you’re looking for something even more extreme or you’d like to try something a bit different, you can explore Mont-Blanc without the physical effort or climbing gear. How? From the sky! Sounds tempting doesn’t it? Well, from Morzine, this is possible. Treat yourselves to an extraordinary experience and see Mont-Blanc and the most famous peaks of the Alps like you’ve never seen them before. Take to the skies and you’ll come face-to-face with an exceptional view of the snow-capped Alps and Chablais mountains, for a sight that will literally take your breath away. Don’t hesitate to get in touch with our service providers offering helicopter rides from Morzine!
