Fancy strolling around the centre of the resort? Enjoying a drink out on the terrace? Letting your children go exploring? Morzine town council is providing a quiet public space that everyone – local, tourist, shopowner and worker – is invited to use this summer.
A pedestrian-only experience this summer in some of the streets throughout the village!

THE SQUARE IN FRONT OF THE TOURIST OFFICE IS RESERVED FOR PEDESTRIANS FROM 2 JULY TO 29 AUGUST

• 7 days a week, 24 hours a day
• Route de la Combe in Zore from the Passaquin book shop to the junction with Rue de la Plagne, at the Samoyède hotel.
• Exceptions for deliveries until 11am.
• The Rue de la Taille de Mas du Pléney will remain closed to traffic as per usual.
• The Rue de la Taille de Mas du Grand Mas will be open in a downwards direction to be able to reach the Rue de la Plagne at the Spar shop.

RUE DU BOURG/ROUTE DE LA PLAGNE FROM 11 TO 18 JULY between 4pm and 11pm

• The road will be closed to cars between the 11 and 18 July and if this trial is deemed a success, it will then be closed from Sunday 15 to Sunday 22 August.
• Between 4pm and 11pm every day over these 2 weeks.
• From the Elan service station to the bridge in front of the town hall.
• There will be street entertainment on the Rue du Bourg between 5pm and 7pm to draw pedestrians down to the bottom of the road

– Monday 12 July: Games for children
– Tuesday 13 July: musical entertainment
– Wednesday 14 July: firefighters’ parade for Bastille Day
– Thursday 15 July: games for children
– Friday 16 July: games for children
– Sunday 18 July: musical entertainment or games for children
