Santa Cruz, the legendary brand from the USA, chose Morzine to set up its European HQ, with a showroom located on Rue du Bourg since July 2018.
From this summer, the Santa Cruz Syndicate (team) is making the resort its official base, with champions like Greg Minaar (14 world cup victories, 2 world champion titles and many other successes) and his teammates, Luca Shaw and Loris Vergier. Morzine does indeed make the perfect playground for testing and developing new products. The brand is a fully-fledged partner of Morzine, working with the village to develop new offers and activities like free yoga every Thursday morning at their showroom, as well as events to promote the sport of mountain biking. The brand itself has become an economic driving force for the resort.

New zone for novices in negotiating obstacles:
Morzine has created an obstacle zone where mountain bikers can learn to tackle, or perfect their technique in, the kind of difficulties they’ll have to overcome in the real-life conditions of the natural terrain. This teaches them to negotiate natural obstacles like ruts in the path, raised bends, sudden changes in the terrain, etc. The zone is located at the top of the Pléney gondola lift and is intended for both adults and children.
New MTB trail: even more slopes to increase the fun!
A purely downhill red trail, from the top of Le Pléney all the way to the village centre, near the lifts. This slope was created from the one developed for the 2018 French Championships. It covers a total of 3 km and a 500-metre elevation range. As always, Morzine makes it easy for mountain bikers to reach the hundreds of miles of waymarked trails that criss-cross the Portes du Soleil area, not forgetting the lively “après-MTB” to end your day in style.
