It was thanks to a childhood friend that Alexis first heard about ski mountaineering. “Before, I had done a little ski touring but nothing more; I found the equipment too heavy. Then he took me to see the Pierra Menta. It was love at first sight.” In 2007, Alexis tried his hand at ski mountaineering. Coming from an alpine skiing background, Alexis delights in the mountain landscapes.

Today, he is one of the best French athletes and continues to invest passionately at a frantic pace. Alexis Sevenec has been part of the French military team since 2013 and won the gold medal in the individual event at the Military World Games in Annecy in 2013 and in February in Sochi, Russia, defeating the Russians.
He has competed in all formats: sprint, vertical race, individual, and team events. He has also claimed victories in some of the most prestigious team races, including the Patrouille des Glaciers, the Tour du Ruitor, the Mezzalama, the Adamello, and the Pierra Menta.

Trail running is also his main discipline in the summer, where he has consistently finished on the podium in many world-renowned and incredibly challenging races.
