The Pointe de Nyon Leisure Area is a site dedicated to contemplation, mountain discovery, and alpine activities.
This area is accessible by car via the Col de Joux Plane road or directly by the Pointe de Nyon cable car. A large free parking lot is located at the cable car departure point, and free shuttles are available from the center of Morzine.
At the top of the cable car, a fully equipped area invites you to explore alpine activities: a mini-farm, herding demonstrations by a sheepdog, discovery trails, and exhibitions. The Nyon restaurant will welcome you for a delicious break in the heart of the mountains.

Perched at an altitude of 2,019 meters, the “Pas de l’Aigle” offers visitors a truly unique, dizzying sensation. A 15-meter walkway, boldly attached to the mountainside, delivers a heart-pounding experience with 350 meters of sheer drop below and breathtaking views stretching from Mont Blanc to Lake Geneva. Get ready for a memorable adventure! You can also admire the sculpture by local Morzine artist Robert Vernet. Access is available by skiing, via the Pointe de Nyon chairlift.

This experience offers you the opportunity to immerse yourself in the heart of snow-covered fir trees. For the little ones and those eager to learn more about local wildlife, embark on a short educational walk. The trail starts right next to the cable car and lasts about 30-45 minutes. Along the way, you’ll find informative panels about local wildlife. With the Locafaune app, you can even record any animals spotted and contribute to conservation efforts.
LES AIGLES DU LÉMAN: Skiing with an Eagle (10:30 AM):
Experience something truly extraordinary by skiing alongside an eagle. This unique activity, offered by Les Aigles du Léman, gives winter sports enthusiasts an unforgettable adventure. Ride the chairlift with the eagle, then ski down the snowy slopes while watching it soar above and around you. It’s a timeless moment with this majestic bird as you enjoy the stunning Morzine landscapes.

Race with a Falcon (11:30 AM):
Challenge yourself to a race with a Gyrfalcon and try to win a falconry workshop! The meeting point is at 11:15 AM with skis in front of the Pointe de Nyon restaurant.

Shows:
Enjoy two daily shows at 12:30 PM and 2:30 PM, lasting 25 minutes, combining education and humor. This is a great opportunity to appreciate the beauty of birds of prey while understanding their vulnerability. These birds were once persecuted due to human ignorance and superstition, and it’s time we change how we view them.
The restaurant at the Pointe de Nyon offers a great spot to watch the daily shows from its terrace.
Falconry Workshop:
Discover birds of prey alongside a falconer. You’ll have the chance to hold three different birds (owl, tawny owl, and buzzard) and even help them fly. Photos are encouraged!
- Available daily in good weather, except Fridays, at 1:30 PM (after the falconry show).
