Come and meet us in Saint Jean d’Aulps, just a few minutes by car from Morzine, in Aulps Valley. At the Rocher de la Chaux via ferrata, there are two routes to choose from. The first one is call the ‘elephant’s eye’ and it is a staggering route with sheer drops and a succession of long and challenging sections. There are two opportunities to leave this route and go along an easier one, called the ‘elephant’s head’.

The route is quite steep and can be slippery when it’s been raining. Suitable footwear is highly recommended. For safety reasons, the Via Ferrata trail is prohibited for adults who do not have prior experience, or under 18s who are not accompanied by an experienced adult. Make sure you don’t set off along this route in stormy weather or at night.

As long as you take into consideration all the safety guidelines and you’re not afraid of heights, Via Ferrata is definitely an activity worth trying if you’re looking for an extraordinary summer adventure at the heart of the Portes du Soleil destination!
