Dérêches Park, in the Heart of Morzine Village
On the Morzine village website, you can find a full list of the sports activities available. All of these facilities are nestled in nature, just a short walk from the village centre.
PARC DES Dérêches
It’s like a piece of nature that has sprung up beneath the village, stretching out along the river; a shaded 4.5 km loop, free from cars and houses; a refreshing haven for children’s play, horseback riding, or jogging.
A Vast Green Haven
Parc des Dérêches is a vast green haven in the heart of Morzine, featuring a 4.5 km loop trail along the Dranse River, which can be completed either in full or partially. It’s a true classic! The park offers over 10 sports and leisure activities for the whole family, both in summer and winter. Nestled at the foot of the mountains and surrounded by forest, enjoy unique and special moments with family or friends: swimming pools, tennis courts, ice rinks, equestrian centre, fitness trail, skate park, Congress Centre, adventure course, and more.
The Paradise for Little Ones.
To enjoy the quality of the air and the mountain environment without having to reach the summit, Morzine has preserved a green and tranquil oasis in the heart of the village, free from cars and houses. In the shade of ancient trees, you can stroll easily with a stroller along wide, well-maintained paths. For parents wishing to travel light, there are sports shops offering three-wheeled strollers for rent. A playground for the little ones adds a fun element to the walk before they indulge in the thrills of tree-top adventures (mini-courses starting from age 2) and horseback riding (pony rides starting from age 3), both located nearby.
And because skipping snack time is not an option, Parc des Dérêches also features benches and tables for enjoying your afternoon treats in the heart of nature.

A Unique Mountain Skate Park
Forget about the skate park with its removable modules: since 2015, this solid skate space has been built to meet the expectations of skaters, who were fully involved in the development of this new facility.
The skate park is open access year-round, allowing you to perfect your best tricks!
Custom Navigation:
Another way to explore the Dérêches trail!
Orienteering is a fun, educational sport where you can test your ability to navigate using a highly detailed map. You don’t need to be a pro with a compass. This activity is accessible to everyone, whether alone, with family, or among friends.
The permanent orienteering course is open year-round and can be completed on foot, by bike, or on horseback. The course at Dérêches Park is accessible to everyone (adults, children, families, sports clubs, schools, etc.).
20 markers (poles equipped with clips) must be found within a minimum time. Maps are available at the Tourist Office and the Sports Palace.
A Few Basic Principles…
Identify the features of the terrain using the legend, and accurately assess the distances! The course is marked by 20 markers placed at notable points in the area. On the map, punch the box corresponding to the number of the marker you’ve found (using the clip), then continue along the path to the next point. Prioritize following the paths and never cross the river.
Recovery at the Aquatic Centre
The Aquatic Centre of Morzine offers moments of relaxation in its 160 m² wellness area (for ages 16 and up when accompanied by an adult). After a day of skiing, it’s time to unwind and recover in one of the 3 saunas or 2 hammams. Away from the hustle and bustle of the pools, there is also a relaxation area with sun loungers and a view of the Nyon peak.
The Benefits of the Wellness Area:
Sauna: Dry Heat for Relaxation…
A small wooden cabin heated by a stove to between 70°C and 100°C, the sauna allows you to unwind, eliminate toxins, stimulate circulation and immune defenses, relax muscles, and cleanse the skin. These numerous benefits make it a must-visit in the Aquatic Centre.
Hammam: Humid Heat for Escape.
The hammam, also known as a “Turkish bath,” invites relaxation. Its gentle humid heat (between 40°C and 50°C) stimulates blood circulation and provides soothing relaxation. The warm steam opens the skin’s pores, eliminates toxins, clears the sinuses, facilitates breathing, and eases muscle pain. It’s a pure moment of relaxation after skiing.
