Morzine is right in the centre of the huge Portes du Soleil ski area. This offers you varied skiing and new pistes to try on every day of your ski holiday. With beautiful winding tree lined runs to steep faces for experts the variety of slopes ensures no one will be bored. One of the biggest ski areas in the world, you won't be disapointed!

In the Portes du Soleil you’ll find a great diversity of landscapes for ultra-varied skiing experiences. From wide open slopes to beautiful tree runs winding through the forests; gentle beginner slopes with magic carpet lifts to steep unpisted black runs; fun zones for kids to patrolled free ride areas for off-piste aficionados. And not forgetting real welcoming villages to ski down to at the end of the day. The Portes du Soleil is also known for being the gourmet skiers choice! Mountain restaurants offer a cosy shelter from the snow and a quality of cooking that will amaze you.

And very importantly, it’s a great family ski resort, and even offers deals for the family ski pass! The Morzine fun zones specially for kids have all been remodelled for winter 22-23. The Penguin park on the top of Pleney is now filled with new modules and games to keep little ones excited about skiing! As you head down towards the village you'll find the Chemin de Zouzous, a special animal piste on a quiet track through the forest where you can spot statues of local wildlife on the way down. A new, bigger boardercross and fun park is situated on the Nyon slopes. The perfect place to learn to jump and progress without the pressure of the bigger parks.

While Morzine and the Portes du Soleil combine together to provide one of the largest ski areas in the world, it also offers the perfect opportunity to take ski lessons and build confidence at the same time. Morzine is the perfect place to try skiing for the first time with some gentle ski slopes nestled together in our beginner’s area. Whether you’re looking to ski for the first time, hone your parallel turns or learn how to tackle off-piste, benefit from tailor-made ski lessons from a professional instructor who will be right at your disposal to provide all the support and guidance you need.

Special beginner passes are available for both the Pleney and Nyon areas. Check out what’s included in these to see if this is the right solution for you.

If any in your group are non-skiers there is a wide range of different activities for them to take part in. From snowshoe outings to ice skating, to yoga, or simply a walk through the village and visiting the local market. There are also pedestrian passes available for non-skiers who’d like a panoramic walk or to join their skiing friends for lunch.

On the Morzine ski slopes you’ll find a wide range of bars and restaurants to suit every taste and budget! When you’re hungry you can choose from Savoyard specialities, or pizzas and yummy burgers, or a smart meal in gorgeous surroundings. Some even offer special areas for children so they can play while you enjoy a drink.

Once off the slopes, families will find a packed programme of entertainment to keep kids happy, from shows to workshops to fun games in the snow. And of course the unmissable torchlight descent and fireworks! Don’t miss the weekly welcome drinks on the square to find out what’s happening during your holiday.

The specialist sports shops have everything you need to kit you out and ensure you have the right skis for your level. Different choices are available to suit every level and pricepoint! And once you have rented out your perfect equipment, you can simply leave it overnight at the shop to save carrying it back to you accommodation. You’ll get back in the morning to warm dried out boots and you’re ready to enjoy the Morzine slopes again!
