Browse all the information you’ll need about the pool complex with swimming pools, sauna and steam room, the ice rinks, tennis courts, fitness trail, horse riding centre, adventure trail, skate park, basketball court, and street hockey facilities, all in this natural setting just a stone’s throw from the centre of the village.

Dérêches Park

is a wonderful area of greenery in the centre of the village that stretches as far as the banks of the river. There’s a shaded 4.5 km walk around the park that is completely free of cars and houses. This is refreshing place to enjoy the children’s play areas, go horse riding or for a jog.

A vast haven of greenery

Dérêches Park is a vast haven of greenery in the centre of
Morzine with a 4.5 km loop trail alongside the river Dranse that you can choose to cover all at once or split into sections. A must-see! There are more than 10 sports and leisure activities for the whole family to choose from, all year round. At the foot of the mountains, in the midst of the forest, come and experience something truly unique with your family or friends: swimming pools, tennis courts, ice rinks, horse riding centre, fitness trail, skate park, ‘Palais des Congrès’ venue, adventure trail, etc.

The ULTIMATE place for the little ones.

To benefit from the air quality and environment of the mountains without having to climb to the peaks, Morzine has created a peaceful and protected island of greenery in the centre of the village, with no cars or houses. The wide and perfectly maintained footpaths in the shade of the ancient trees are suitable for pushchairs, and for parents who would like to travel with the bare minimum, there are sports shops here where you can hire 3-wheeled pushchairs. You can stop off at the play area for the little ones on your walk to keep them entertained, and they can then try out the high-ropes adventure trail (mini trail for children from the age of 2), and go horse riding (pony rides for children over 3) nearby.

And when those afternoon hunger pangs hit, there are benches and picnic tables dotted around Dérêches Park for a snack in the great outdoors.

A one-of-a-kind skate park in the mountains

This is no longer your usual skate part with removable obstacles, this
area was redesigned in 2015 and is now a ‘hard’ surface that is better suited to skaters, who have flocked to the new facility since it opened.

The skate park is free to use all year round, to come and practice your best tricks!

Orienteering with a map:

A different way to explore the Dérêches trail !

Orienteering is a sporty, fun and educational activity, where you get the chance to test your ability to find your way around using a very detailed and accurate map. No need to be an expert when it comes to reading a compass. This is an activity that is suitable for everyone, whether you come alone, as a family or with friends.

The orienteering trail is available to use all year round, can be followed on foot, by bike or on horseback and the Dérêches Park trail is suitable for everyone (adults, children,
families, sports clubs, schools, etc.)

The goal is to find the 20 markers (posts with hole punches attached to them) before your time runs out. Maps available at the Tourist Office front desk and from the Palais des Sports.

Some of the basic rules…

Find certain items or features along the trail, using the key to help you, and figure out the right distances to reach each marker! The trail is made up of 20 markers placed at remarkable points in the area. On the map, use the hole punch provided to mark the box that matches the marker you’ve found, then continue on to the next one. Follow the footpaths and don’t cross the river.

Relax and unwind at the pool complex

Come and relax in the 160 m2 wellness area at the Espace Aquatique de Morzine pool complex (from the age of 16 and over, with an accompanying adult). After a day of skiing, it’s time to relax and unwind in one of the 3 saunas or 2 steam rooms. This area is a place to come and relax on the sun loungers away from the noisy pools and admire the view of the Pointe de Nyon peak.

The Benefits of the Wellness Area:

Sauna: dry heat to just let go and unwind…
The sauna is a little wooden cabin heated with a wood burner to between 70°C and 100°C. This is a place where you can relax, free your body of toxins, improve circulation and give the immune system a boost, relax muscles and cleanse the skin. There are plenty of good reasons why this is an unmissable place at the pool complex

Steam room: wet heat that helps clear your mind.
The steam room, also known as a Turkish bath, is an invitation to relax. The high level of humidity and temperature of between 40 and 50°C boosts blood flow and helps you feel completely relaxed. The hot steam opens the pores, getting rid of toxins and also opens the sinuses to improve breathing and soothes any muscle pain. A moment of utter relaxation after a day of skiing.
